Pearland ISD leverages Aruba's IntroSpect solution for user and entity behavior analytics, which helps the IT team detect and respond to network threats more efficiently. This system allows them to analyze data from existing solutions to identify unusual behavior in endpoints, enabling quicker remediation of issues. For example, they successfully isolated a malware incident within 90 minutes, a process that typically takes other districts much longer.

The district is planning to refresh their network infrastructure with Aruba's 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) access points. This upgrade aims to improve network speed, throughput, and capacity, which is essential as more devices, including IoT devices, connect to the network. With over 2,200 Aruba access points already in place, this transition will help ensure complete coverage and connectivity across all campuses.

Automation is a key focus for Pearland ISD's IT team. They utilize Aruba's plug-and-play network capabilities to simplify device connections without extensive reconfiguration. Additionally, they plan to integrate IntroSpect with ClearPass to automate responses to security alerts, allowing the IT staff to focus on more strategic tasks rather than manual monitoring and intervention.
